This is a journey to becoming a leader. You begin by sharpening your coastal skills: reading surf, currents, and navigation until the big lakes feel less like a threat and more like an ally. From there, advanced strokes and two real expeditions test your judgment as much as your endurance. Next, the horizon widens — trip planning, risk management, and the kind of leadership that holds a group together on longer journeys. Finally, for those ready to step into guiding or coaching, the Leadership Endorsement offers mentorship and a practicum, a way to give back to the community while carrying others forward.
