Our Instructor Collection is designed for paddlers who are ready to lead and teach. Whether you are pursuing Paddle Canada certification or ORCKA training, these courses give you the tools to share your passion for sea kayaking with confidence and skill.

Instructor Training Week brings these opportunities together in one immersive event. Each spring, before the busy season, we dedicate a week to skill-building and mentorship—a mix of courses, workshops, and shared learning designed to refine your technical abilities and teaching craft. It’s a focused block of training and an opportunity to connect with other paddlers who share your passion for teaching.

What to expect:

• A variety of Paddle Canada and ORCKA instructor courses are offered in a single week.
• Courses that run longer than the minimum standards allow time for skill refinement and adult education frameworks. 
• A supportive environment to learn, network, and grow—think of it as a mini symposium for instructors.
• Access to our Learning Management System and propritary training manuals.

Why ORCKA or Paddle Canada?
Each serves a different path. ORCKA was built around the Great Lakes and is the best fit for most Ontario coaches. Paddle Canada offers a national framework that adapts well to the Great Lakes up to Level 3 and extends to ocean environments at Level 4—ideal if you plan to work on the coast. Whichever you choose, you’ll develop strong paddling skills, teaching strategies, and leadership to train and inspire paddlers.
