This focused clinic uses a kayak erg and high-resolution video to break down your forward stroke in a controlled, repeatable environment. Instead of guessing what’s happening on the water, you’ll see it — frame by frame — and learn how to make practical, meaningful adjustments.

Working in a small group, we’ll look closely at body position, sequencing, paddle path, rotation, and power transfer. The goal isn’t perfection or imitation. It’s understanding your movement pattern and improving efficiency, comfort, and sustainability.

Why use an erg?

The erg removes variables like wind, waves, and balance demands, allowing us to isolate technique and movement patterns. This makes feedback clearer, changes easier to feel, and improvements more transferable back to the kayak.

Kinomap Software

Kinomap pairs the erg with interactive, geolocated paddling video routes. This provides visual flow and real-world context, helping some paddlers settle into rhythm and continuity without focusing on numbers, racing, or comparison. Kinomap is used as a support tool, not a performance metric.
