Pukaskwa National Park, located on the northern shores of Lake Superior, is a breathtaking wilderness ideal for backcountry kayak expeditions. Its rugged coastline, pristine beaches, and dramatic cliffs offer a once-in-a-lifetime paddling experience. This trip combines adventure and skill-building, allowing participants to explore the park while learning the intricacies of multi-day kayaking expeditions.

    • Our trips are led by experienced Paddle Canada coaches with a max ratio of 4:1, ensuring personalized instruction and safety.
  • Incredible Scenery:
    • Paddle through untouched wilderness featuring dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches, and landmarks like Cascade Falls.
  • Expedition Focus:
    • This trip is designed to provide valuable experience in navigation, teamwork, and camp management and help you gain the confidence needed for future adventures.
  • Camping & Meals Included:
    • We will be amping at remote wilderness sites, with all meals provided for the duration of the trip (Days 1-7). Common camping gear, including tarps, is also included.

Itinerary:

Day 0: Hattie Cove
  • Meet the group and guide at Hattie Cove for a pre-trip briefing.
  • Orientation, group introductions, and gear check.
Day 1 - 4: Paddle from Hattie Cove to Cascade Falls.
Day 5 - 7: Cascade Falls to Hattie Cove.

  • Guided Expedition:
    Small groups led by experienced Paddle Canada coaches (4:1 ratio).

  • Meals:
    All meals are provided during the trip (Days 1-7), ensuring a fully catered experience.

  • Equipment:
    A dry suit and kayak are provided for the trip.
    Common camping gear, such as tarps, is included.

  • Accommodations & Permits:
    Camping sites and park permits are arranged in advance.

  • Pre-Trip Planning:
    A pre-trip planning webinar to ensure you're fully prepared for the adventure.

    What’s Not Included:

    • Transportation:
      Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the put-in point (Hattie Cove).

    • Snacks & Personal Clothing:
      Bring snacks and personal paddling clothing (dry suit, neoprene, and paddle jacket).

    • Breakfast on Day 1 & Dinner on Day 7:
      Breakfast on Day 1 at Hattie Cove Campsite and dinner on Day 7 at a local chip truck are not included.
