Land Acknowledgment

Cape Breton has long been home to the Mi’kmaq People, who have lived, traveled, and cared for these lands and waters for generations. We acknowledge their deep and ongoing connection to this place and recognize that it remains their unceded territory. As we explore these waters, we do so with respect and appreciation for the history, knowledge, and stewardship of the Mi’kmaq.
