This calculator estimates the tide height at a given time using the Rule of Twelfths. This rule approximates tidal movement assuming a sinusoidal pattern:

• 1/12 of the tidal range in the first hour
• 2/12 in the second hour
• 3/12 in the third hour
• 3/12 in the fourth hour
• 2/12 in the fifth hour
• 1/12 in the sixth hour
