Paddle Canada’s Level 2 is an intermediate kayaking course. This course is for paddlers looking to explore the Atlantic Ocean. You will add to the foundational skills learned in Level 1 during this course. 

The 100 Wild Islands is a beautiful archipelago that is renowned for its scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking. It is also home to the world-famous Clam Harbour. If you have the proper skills and gear, it is a paradise for sea kayaking. We will explore the area thoroughly while learning kayak skills.

    • DAY 2 
      • Navigation presentation
      • Coastal Touring and Navigation
        • We will use charts, plotters and compasses to find shipwrecks and lighthouses.
      • Launching and Landing
      • Weather Forecasting & Interpretation  
    • DAY 3
      • Daily weather interpretation.
      • Coastal Touring and Navigation
      • Intro to towing
      • Rescue scenarios
    • DAY 4
      • Daily weather interpretation.
      • Ded reckoning exercises.

    Price includes:

    • A sea kayak, with 2 bulkheads. 
    • Dry suits are available to rent if required.
    • Food is not included. You will need to bring your own.

    Not included:

    • Transportation to Norse Cove Campground

    This program includes 4 nights camping; please note that participants are responsible for their transportation.
