Do you want to try backcountry sea kayak camping in a relaxed and stress-free environment? Finally, you have an option!  Accessible campsites, backcountry wilderness and smaller water than the Great Lakes. Lake Opeongo is big enough to sea kayak and small enough to be manageable.

 You might even see a moose!

This adventure is designed for sea kayakers who have taken Level 1 and want a fun, backcountry experience that isn't Level 2. Stress-free kayak tripping with the opportunity to learn skills at your own pace. This trip intends to give paddlers the experience of participating in an expedition without having to paddle in big water.

DESCRIPTION:

On this adventure, we will take a shuttle to the far side of Lake Opeongo, base camp on an island then paddle to the launch. We will use charts and compasses to navigate our way.

PRICE INCLUDES:

• All meals (from dinner day one to lunch day 4) - you should still bring some extra snacks.
• Small groups led by experienced Paddle Canada coaches. Max 4:1 ratio.
  
• Pre-trip planning webinar. This has proven to make the trip more enjoyable.
  
• Boat shuttle (one way), camping and accommodations. 
• Park permits and platform reservations.
• All common camping gear (tarps, etc.).

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

• Navigation gear - you will need this in future courses :)
• Transportation to put in.
• Parking fees.
• Personal paddling clothing.

ITINERARY:

• Day 1: Meet Up at Outfitter for 12 PM water taxi. 
  
• Day 1 – 3: Kayak Trip.
• Day 4: Last Kayak Day. Paddle back to the outfitters.
