This adventure will take you on a multi-day journey with stops at Beachy Bay, High Dump, and Wingfield Basin before returning to Tobermory.

Small Group Experience:
Paddle in small groups, with a max ratio of 3:1, led by experienced Paddle Canada coaches to ensure safety, guidance, and a personalized experience. -
Challenging Conditions:
The Saugeen Peninsula is exposed and can offer a variety of challenging sea states. This trip is designed for experienced kayakers who are ready to take on coastal conditions. -
Stunning Coastal Scenery:
Explore the dramatic cliffs, beautiful beaches, and rugged coastlines of the Saugeen Peninsula while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding waters. -
Preparation for Higher Levels:
This clinic is designed to help paddlers prepare for Paddle Canada Level 3 and 4 certifications by providing hands-on experience in coastal navigation and challenging conditions.
Itinerary:
Day 0: Meet Up at Mountain Trout Camp
- Arrive at Mountain Trout Camp for a pre-trip briefing, orientation, and gear check.
- Meet your guides and fellow paddlers to prepare for the upcoming journey.
Day 1 – 5: Explore the Peninsula
- Start paddling from Tobermory and make stops at Beachy Bay, High Dump, and Wingfield Basin, each offering stunning coastal scenery and unique kayaking challenges.
- Explore a variety of coastal features, including cliffs, hidden coves, and rugged shorelines.
- Enjoy meals at picturesque campsites each night, surrounded by nature.
Day 5: Last Day – Take Out at Tobermory
- Conclude the journey with the final paddle of the trip.
- After the trip, enjoy a well-deserved stop for Tacos at Las Chulas.

All meals are provided during the trip (Days 1-5).
Please note: Breakfast on Day 1 and dinner on Day 5 are not included. -
Camping & Accommodations:
Camping at beautiful coastal sites and accommodations (including the evening before launch) are included. -
Park Permits & Reservations:
All necessary park permits and platform reservations are arranged to ensure a seamless trip. Please note parking your car is not included. -
Camping Gear:
Common camping gear, such as tarps and other essentials, will be provided.

Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the put-in point at Tobermory. -
Snacks & Personal Clothing:
Bring your own snacks and personal paddling clothing (dry suit or neoprene & paddle jacket combination, etc.).
