This isn’t your average tour. Guided by expert Brazilian sea kayakers, you’ll traverse the open South Atlantic coastline, a path rarely navigated by outsiders. Tailored for seasoned ocean paddlers, this expedition blends adventure, challenge, and authentic connection with the rhythms of Brazil’s coastal communities.

Along the way, you’ll experience Brazil’s spectacular Atlantic Forest from a sea-level perspective, paddling alongside local guides who know every hidden cove, safe passage, and vibrant village. This journey will test your skills, deepen your connection to nature and culture, and leave you with memories that no typical tour could match.

Itinerary:

• Day 1: Arrival in Brazil
  • Pick-up at Rio de Janeiro's Galeão International Airport (GIG).
  • Transfer to the charming colonial town of Paraty, your gateway to adventure.
  • Group welcome dinner and expedition briefing.
• Day 2: Launch from Paraty Mirim to Grande Beach
  • Morning transport from Paraty to Paraty Mirim launch site.
  • Paddle through calm, sheltered waters to Grande Beach.
  • Set up camp, swim, and relax in this beautiful bay.
• Day 3: Paddle to Cajaíba Village
  • A scenic coastal paddle to the remote village of Cajaíba.
  • Opportunity to explore local culture and enjoy fresh seafood.
  • Overnight in or near the village accommodations.
• Day 4: Paddle to Martins de Sá
  • Paddle along the rugged coastline and remote coves to Martins de Sá.
  • Camp on a breathtaking beach surrounded by lush Atlantic rainforest.
• Day 5: Paddle to Antigos Beach (17 km)
  • Push a little further down the coast.
  • Stunning rock formations, wild beaches, and rich biodiversity await.
• Day 6: Paddle to Camburi (21 km)
  • A big day of paddling to reach the beautiful and isolated Camburi beach.
  • Celebrate the day’s effort with a group dinner and a starry night sky.
• Day 7: Paddle to Ubatumirim (20 km)
  • Our final day of paddling brings us to Ubatumirim, a relaxed beach community.
  • Pack up and prepare for the journey back.
• Day 8: Return to Rio
  • Breakfast and ground transportation back to Rio de Janeiro.
  • Flights home or onward travel from GIG Airport.

Includes

• Sea kayaks and paddling equipment, camping equipment. A sleeping bag is not included.
• All meals on the kayak expedition are provided; however, food in Paraty Mirim and Ubatuba is extra. The local currency is the Brazilian Real (BRL).
• Transfer from Rio to Paraty and back to Rio by private shuttle.
• Camping and hostel fees are as described above.
