Kayak Ontario Skills Weekend (Symposium) - Oct 2-3, 2021 TENTATIVE

This is our end of year celebration! All Facebook Group members are welcome, as well as newcomers. The event is designed to welcome beginner paddlers and challenge intermediate paddlers.

- Introduction to Greenland Rolling
- Advanced Greenland Rolling
- Euro Blade Rolling Specific
- Boat Control
- Boat Control in Current
- Coastal Paddling
- Surfing (if possible)
Schedule:
Friday
- Arrival of participants (after 4), set up camp, get to know each other.
Saturday
- 7:30 AM - Breakfast
- 8:30 AM - Meet at appropriate launch site for your class
- 9:00 AM - On water session
- 12:30 AM - Finish Morning session
- 1:30PM - Afternoon Session
- 4:30PM - Finish Afternoon Session
- 6:00PM - Presentations
Sunday
- 7:30 AM - Breakfast
- 8:30 AM - Meet at appropriate launch site for your class
- 9:00 AM - On water session
- 12:00 AM - Finish Morning session
- 1:30PM - Afternoon Session
- 4:30 - Finish Afternoon Session
- 5:00 - Clean up and go home
Camping details:
There is camping on site for those who wish to camp. The space is limited to registered participants. Anyone not registered will not be permitted on the campsite. Camping costs are subsidized by the event on our group site. We have sites 301 and 302. No parking on the sites allowed, you can park on the road adjacent to the site.
The rules of the park must always be followed.
If you require more involved camping, there are many sites at Rock Point, private campgrounds in the area and AirBNBs in Port Maitland.
Please note, food is not included. Please come prepared.
